Katie Kimble, Viola
Katie Kimble is a Columbia native, returning to the area after a brief hiatus to upstate NY to earn her bachelor degree in viola performance and music education from Ithaca College where she studied with Debra Moree. Her orchestral experience includes playing with the Cornell Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Chris Kim, and the Ithaca College Chamber and Symphony Orchestras under the direction of Jeff Meyer.
She currently teaches elementary school strings in Anne Arundel County and lives in Elkridge with her husband, and fellow Columbia Orchestra member, Adam and their dog Angua. When not teaching or playing music, Katie coaches rock climbing at Earth Treks Climbing Center.
